{ Pop Tarts, and not the Whore-ish Kind }

This was meant more for me, but I guess this whole blog is really a collection of all things I find cool.... sorry a rant... but don't you think these look delicious!!??!! These homemade pop tarts are what I'm gonna make for Christmas morning! or maybe sooner... and with a pumpkin filling .... I did get a sweet new food processor for the birthday... Thank you the Kitchen via Apartment Therapy, for always making me salivate! {via}

{ Infographics: New York Magazine }

Has anyone else ever noticed (or got super design envy) over the infographic the New York Magazine puts out? Well The Creative Review knew I wasn't the only one, and put together a great lil' write up (and I mean little) about the wonderful graphics they put together... Doesn't it make you jealous? Why can't the bustling city of Knoxville (maybe the Metropulse) have fab graphics? and who makes these? is there a team? It seems I have a little research to do this morning, and maybe a letter or two to send out.  Either way, here are a few to enjoy and keep for inspiration!

{ Dorothy Goes Running }

This FABULOUS new site, (IN)DECOROUSTASTE, I found posted an experiment on transforming we some red nike running runnings into the most glamorous platforms. It's Dorothy meets the Fashion Olympics! the journey these shoes have taken is incredible! Below are a few of pics, but definitely bookmark the website.

The Original (last on the right)...
The Process...
The Gorgeous-ness of the completed shoe!
Swoon....

{ It's not a Time Cube }

but it does tell you the time while dropping a zillion F-bombs! I also love the nerd feature / UNIX Epoch. {via}

{ A Fab 'New' Band }

The Like, a band I fancied about 4-5years ago with their pseudo-grunge mumbled vocals. Sweet yet reminiscent of Nirvana or recent rockers, War Paint (see music tab). But this new sound, and new lineup, was produced by Mark Ronson (a fave of mine) and Alex Greenwald (Radiohead and composed the score to There will be Blood). The now Quartet plays fun head bobbing songs like those of lady groups from the 60's. and the videos aren't so bad either.... enjoy a fave of mine below!

{ Quarter Life Crisis }

It seems like everyday since graduation is a rollercoaster of emotions. Is this really what I worked so hard on? I spent 6 years in school (ridiculous amounts in debt) for this? A barely making ends meet life of unemployement... well... I did start M+J Design Bureau, but even that, as wonderful as it is, is hard. Soooo much harder than working for someone, even if that someone is a total douche who under appreciates your talent and makes you create birthday cards for his slutty daughters, only to then give you a 25% pay cut, that really won't pay your rent.... alright... enough of these rambles... but if you are a 20-something, a highly encourage this read, I've included a snippet. Thanks Matt for the send.

You start realizing that people are selfish and that, maybe, those friends that you thought you were so close to aren't exactly the greatest people you have ever met and the people you have lost touch with are some of the most important ones. What you do not realize is that they are realizing that too and are not really cold or catty or mean or insincere, but that they are as confused as you.
You look at your job. It is not even close to what you thought you would be doing or maybe you are looking for one and realizing that you are going to have to start at the bottom and are scared. {via}

{ CTM: Southern Girls }

found this via a friend on the facebook and found it too funny not to share (but totally NSFW). the website isn't too bad either {via}

Hot southern girl #1: So, before I came up here my mom is like, "Be very careful around those northern boys, they think all southern girls just love to cook and fuck."
Hot southern girl #2: Oh my gosh, are you serious? They think that? That's so messed up!
Hot southern girl #1: I know!
Hot southern girl #2: But I really do love to cook... And fuck.
Hot southern girl #1: I know... Me too.

{ So You Want to be an Architect }

{ The Find of the Century }

This guy in New York claimed to have a real Michealangelo behind his couch, yeah... I'm totally not making this up. So he finally called the right guy to identify it, and viola! he is now the owner of a 300million dollar painting, what some are calling the find of the century. Martin Kober, the owner of this 'find', had the painting behind his couch for 27 years after his children threw a tennisball at it. {via}

{ Infographic: Colors of the Internet Rainbow }

or atleast the logos and branding of the internet based companies. One of my favorite sites, ISO50 {you gotta bookmark that} recently posted a great info graphic of the colors of the top 100 web brands. I know the interweb was very blue based, but it's nice to see it justified and soooo much brighter a blue than I originally thought. Enjoy! {via}

{ Free Conan! }

....t-shirt. Yes, if you a twitter follewer of ol' Conan, be sure to check everyday for a chance for a free shirt... I know, how silly! but I want one! {via}

{ Fo'Shizzle Lorim Ipsum Style }

Are you always needing placeholder text? and not only do you need it, but you aren't always in Indesign (the magical program that will auto generate it for you)... AND somewhat peeved people are always asking if you know latin? No fool!, that language be dead like a zombie! Well I just found something for you!
