Best About Pages
Best About Pages: This is exactly as it sounds. Need Graphic Inspiration for your website's About page? Often these About pages are left unthought out and underwhelming, typically containing a small text 'about' the company / person / service, and maybe a picture or two of that said company / person / service. But luckily I found this gem, B. Which I think stands for Best? Regardless of the meaning of 'B', I'm in love with this categorized reference! {via}

Art of the Menu
Art of the Menu is another categorized reference site, but as the name implies, it's for Menus. This site is particularly nice because you can search this gorgeous menus by location, cuisine, or date added to site. Another site that is worth bookmarking! {via}

{ Branding the Presidents }

Now that the elections are over, I'm glad to leave all this political talk behind me and just get along with my fellow americans. But before I resign all presidency talk, I have to share this too fun, type-candy site with you! Branding the Presidents, is a cute lil' blog where a designer (I'm assumming) has branded each of the 44 Presidents of the United States. Currently only Washington through Reagan are there, why did I say, only? That's still 40 awesome POTUS branding jobs! But I guess I'm most psyched to see what the designer does for Clinton and Bush (Sr.). Here are a few of my fave, Enjoy!

{ Game of Fonts }

Well, no it's not a sweet game of thrones parody dripping with font nerdiness ... I wish! But, it's almost as good! It's Scrabble, but instead of it's ol' boring regular font, the whole game has been redesigned into the A-1 Scrabble Typography Edition by Andrew Clifford Capener, co-founder of 755 Marketing and Kneadbe.  For a measly (ha, right?) $199 you can own the nerdiest typography game around! {via}

{ Type Hype: Handmade Type }

transformation of A to a
Yay for a well deserved Type Hype post! It's been a while since I've crushed on a type/font, but luckily Colossal is dishing out the eye candy today! I've always had a soft spot for process and transformation, and Tien Mao-Lien does not disappoint with her Handmade Type: a typography experiment. I mean, just look at all those .gif's! Love 'em!
Lien drew shapes with ink on one or both of my hands, manipulating my gestures into the corresponding shape to signify an upper-case letter. Then, using the same shape on my hands, I manipulated my gesture or changed the perspective through which the shape is viewed in orderto transform the upper-case letter to a lower-case of the same letter. Removingor redrawing the darkened shape on my hands is not allowed in the experiment. The only way to make the model transform from an upper-case to a lower-case (orvice versa) is changing the gestures or the perspectives. {via}

Type Hype

This is the first (official) installment of Type Hype. With this post I will cover all things bad ass I find related to typography... Enjoy!

1. Normally I am not a fan of typography making faces, animals, etc. but this one is actually really cool. Steven Paul Jobs by Dylan Roscover

2. More awesome movie poster interpretations by favianohikaru. I am loving the Pulp Fiction / Bible quotes coming together in an explosion with the gun. love for sld!

3. A recent discover thanks to psdtutsplus.com, Robin Libbrecht is a design student with a love for typography and music. His interest in hardcore and punk music can really be seen in some of his other works not listed here.

4. and Finally, a great post by Nubby on her typofiles post. This one was on Megan Fox in Elle magazine. Its a great swirl of text that totes reminds me of the good ol' days of the spiral graph!
