Work

 {November 09, 2011}
It's been a hot minute since I've updated this portion of the page... and with good reason. M+J is a little more J dominate right now, what with me workin' a full time senior graphic designer position (I needed health ins. for me and the mini loon). But last night I had a chance to do some fun designing for a gig poster for the band Oxxen. Gig posters are my fave to do, so I was happy to jump on this after the lil' man went to bed.

For some time I've been trying to decide on a promotion to do this upcoming month? Any suggestions? I really loved doing the 11x17 Free (yeah, we're crazy... Free...) Band or Event Poster. Do you think it's lame to redo this event? Maybe up to a 5x7" mailer? I'd love to offer free business card designs, but they often come with people who don't have a logo or anything...

Anyways! Be sure to Check out M+J Design Bureau for all your graphic + web needs! We're getting ready for some great re-vamping!

Been enjoying our promotional September offer. A free 11x17 poster designed and set up for printing. For the Farewell Citadell Poster I went sort of more trendy yet vintage, I love some good swirls and paint splatters, and I really wanted to try out the super close fonts for a while!

While for Gene Priest and the Cardinal Sin, I couldn't help myself. Images of a Virgin Mary (a more naughty Mary) came to mind, and what better to adorn our Mother with than a halo of guns and knives ... I guess she might of sinned. I think I must of also been on a Man Ray kick. either way! Enjoy!

Another Post for today, but it is a little bit behind schedule. This past month was John's long time friend, Eva. She's one cool lady! As a girlfriend of a cool guy, I was have doubt that his friend won't welcome me, but Eva is the first lady to be super awesome to me! Man, it sounds like I have hang up's (I don't... just typical nervousness. trust me! lol) Anyways.. I digress. Here are some pages from her up and coming bakery website, Immaculate Confections. As soon as John has a break from the ETN USGBC site (which is a little more tolling than expected) this is going up. Until then, enjoy the home and typical content page layouts!

 Yes, that's a Zombie Panda Cake... I told you this chick was cool!

and everyone's fave, the Death Star!

Looks like it's time for an update... Recently I've been milling over and sketchin and illustrating a new logo / design for Knoxville's native band, Farewell Citadel... Here are the 4 finished designs... Updates later on which route they went with... Which do you like?
