{ Can I Just Live Here? }

As a new mom I'm sure I follow / subscribe to too many blogs and people about parenting (mostly cool things for kids), but today there was a post for these incredible outdoor play houses. Now my lil' man just has your standard run of the mill fischer price play house / slide combo (it was actually a craigslist find), so he doesn't need a new play house or anything, but the designer inside of me just SQUEELED when I saw these!

Meet the Illinois Play House from Smart Play house (appropriately named)! Smart Play House has tons of other great modern play houses, but isn't this Farnsworth House knock off the cutest? I'd totally live there (well if the darn thing was scaled up like 300%). I mean it's a straight up copy, but who hasn't copied this house (thinking of ol' PJ, and don't forget Bill Shell - ut arch knows what I'm saying).

{ Hard Knox featured WFTDA League }

Big Congrats goes out to the Hard Knox Rollergirls for being the featured WFTDA League! I know, from my unfortunately fleeting interest in Derby (it's hard to skate without insurance and being preggers) that those girls have been working hard to make a real presence here in Knoxville and in the world of National Derby Athletics. If you are at all interested please read the links, and attend a few bouts! they are a true blast! and I hope to rekindle my derby love in a few months! {via}

{ Heavy Machine }

So the great Nubbytwiglet (whom I swoon over her and her style and her work) has been doing some great graphics for Solestruck, an amazing shoe site. So I then liked 'em on facebook, and through a lil' convo got turned on to these INCREDIBLE shoes, Heavy Machine. The color blocking and new lines are a fresh take to the every of what I see in shoes. Oh! and I almost forgot! the designers of these shoes have the best story! Two Taiwanese ladies wanted to fulfill the dream of a generation of trendsetting women who demand a deeper sense of empowerment, with footwear designed to be sexy and edgy. Their distinctive looks for the modern woman allow her to make a statement with each step that she takes. Inspired by industrial machine structures and heavy, strong lines, the shoes are designed to give each woman that pleasure of being standout beautiful, yet uniquely feminine. Though high heels have traditionally driven women to sacrifice comfort for looks, these are definitely “shoes comfortable enough to run away in.” Anyways you guys have to check out the rest of the collection, it's amazing!

{ Pantone Wish List }

Now that the holidays are over, and I think I've maxed out credit cards shopping at Sephora, I just had to stumble upon this.... Luckily I can't get it... but I am a little bummed. I'd have to have the Pantone 331 nail polish. These are just too cool! and I am a wee bit surprised these are actually out there... {via}

Pantone, if you are listening (reading) please start making these.

I say, hooray! and keep it up! I first heard this song today on 90.3 the rock, and fell instantly in love....so I guess Edward Sharp is doin a good job! Here's a listen, and let me know your thoughts. I'm now on the search for this on vinyl. ENJOY!
